“Suchitra has been a second home to my daughter. Well-trained, compassionate teachers, an attentive and considerate administration, a lush green and quiet campus with state-of-the-art facilities that complements an extraordinary impressive pedagogy. My gratitude to the whole team”
Parent Mentor Interactions (PMI)
Parent-School collaboration goes a long way in shaping the future of children.
The parents who come to Suchitra seeking admission have a very distinct profile. They are extremely aspirational and ambitious for their kids. They are ready to go to any length to support the school and the child. They are looking for an environment where their child is nurtured: to be the best he or she can be, a good human being, a well-rounded personality, disciplined and focused.
In these uncertain and threatening times, they are looking for a safe haven where the child is shielded from the threats that technology and sometimes, excess wealth creates. They are looking for a school which has the right value system that it seriously endorses and enforces, which allows them a ‘voice’, which is ‘listened’ to. A school which is proactive and treats parents as partners and collaborators. A school which is strong on communication and response system. A school which provides regular feedback through fortnightly newsletters and goes to the extent of sharing teachers’ personal phone numbers!!
PMI ( Parent Mentor Interactions )
PMI days are for parents to come and meet the teachers to find out about their child’s work, behavior, and overall performance in school. Suchitra Academy holds these interactions on the 2nd Saturday of the month and time slots are given in advance to the parents for the interaction. Privacy is ensured during these exchanges and the feedback is in the form of suggestions. Parents get an opportunity to discuss and understand their child’s strengths and weaknesses. Constructive steps are discussed in order to enhance the performance of the children. Student volunteers help in managing the flow of the parents and the ‘buddy teachers’ ensure that no parent waits for too long.
