K V Praveen Raju, Founder
Praveen Raju is the founder of Suchitra Academy. He was the Executive Director of The Indus International School, Hyderabad and was the Founder/Chairman of the Indus Early Learning Centre, Jubilee Hills, ranked Hyderabad’s No. 1 Pre-School.
Praveen Raju holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He was India #7 in the Under 21 snooker championship and represented Osmania University in Badminton
He was also the founding Vice President of The Indus Entrepreneur (TIE), He is Co-Chair of FICCI Arise Telangana as well as the President of Independent Schools Management Association.
He has been the guiding force behind Suchitra Academy.
Deepa Kapoor, Principal
Deepa comes with a varied and rich experience of teaching in schools all across India, for over fifteen years. She has been in the leadership position for the past ten years in various schools like Rani Lakshmi Bai Public School, Jhansi (UP), Army School (Jhansi), DPS (Jodhpur) and Global Indian International School (Pune).
She believes that every child has an immense potential to excel, given the right environment. She strongly believes in the “No Child Left Behind” policy, whether in academics or other school activities. She has been helping students identify their innate skills, to hone and help them blossom with what they naturally possess. She has conducted many workshops for teachers to enhance teaching and pedagogical skills. She has a good connect with all stakeholders of the school, be it parents, teachers or students. She is an avid traveller and enjoys being one with nature.
Trisha Chakraborty, Vice – Principal
As a progressive educator, Trisha has been in the realm of education with expertise in various subject domains and she has experience in bringing the best in the teachers for over fourteen years. Before taking her place at Suchitra Academy, she has been a part of the Network of Enterprising Educational Ventures (NEEV), Delhi as a Research Associate and The Heritage School, Delhi as a Facilitator. She has been part of many workshops on education and retreats on self-awareness. She is trained in Project Based Learning (PBL) by Steven Levy, who is known as father of PBL.
She is passionate about working with children of varied age groups and is equally passionate about working with professionals to bring about a revolution in the field of education. She believes that teachers need to be trained to learn and unlearn with children and children need to experience the freedom that instills responsibilities in them.
She plays the unique role of In-house Teacher Trainer and steers the PBL, Mathematics and Science programs, adding new dimensions to the teaching and learning processes.
She believes in the African proverb that ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ and hence, likes to associate with all the stakeholders to make things work for children. Parents are the first people to go to and so, she likes to meet them often to create the beautiful world every child deserves.
Anne Isaac, Head – Senior School and IGCSE In charge
Anne Isaac earned her Postgraduate degrees in Applied Biology and Education from the University of Mumbai. Prior to joining Suchitra Academy in 2016, she has worked in Meridian School, Banjara Hills, Nasr School for Girls, Khairatabad and Delhi Public School, Nacharam. She has gathered over 17 years of experience.
She is always open to suggestions which will work toward upgrading language skills of teachers as well as students. She also steers the lower Primary programs. She has several research papers to her credit. Her interests cover both Science as well as the English domain. Her teaching philosophy is very simple: “Students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care”. She believes that this can be seen in the fact that students she had taught right at the beginning of her career keep in touch with her even today.
Satya B Swamy, Head – Pre-Primary
Satya B Swamy has more than eighteen years of experience working with Pre-Primary children. During this tenure, she has worked in this country and abroad. In India, she has worked as a teacher, coordinator and as a teacher trainer for Pre-Primary teachers. Yet, “I am learning with the young ones,” is what she has to say.
She believes every child is unique in his or her own way and needs to be steered and nurtured in the right direction. She believes Pre-School education provides a child with the requisite skills which stay for a lifetime. Without them, the child will struggle in grasping new skills and ideas in the later stages.
