WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY celebrations at SUCHITRA featured ‘Say No to Single-Use Plastic’ – a part of the sustainable goals adapted by the UN.
LET’S NURTURE NATURE FOR A BETTER FUTURE!
Environment day is about raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet and taking action.
As part of World Environment Day and to infuse some excitement in the students we have involved them in environmentally friendly activities.
The activities included Think Out of Trash, Live Green, Green fingers, Make Earth a better place to live and we also asked the students and their family to take a pledge to Say No to Plastic! We believe young students can, and do, make a big difference!! Happy World Environment Day!
PLASTIC FREE CHALLENGE – Grades X-XII
In context with The World Environment Day, when UN adapted ‘Say No to Single-Use Plastic’ as one of its sustainable development goals, the students of grades X to XII were assigned the ‘PLASTIC FREE CHALLENGE’ not only to create awareness but also to expose them to this waste-management crisis faced by the entire world. The meticulously planned out challenge focused on identifying single-use plastic materials at home, discovering the change that can be made and creating a poster or video so as to create awareness in their immediate community.
