Pre Primary teachers had an interactive session with the children about the importance of wearing the chef hat and apron.
Community helpers are people who work together to make the community a better place for everyone. We try to instill a sense of gratitude in them by giving them insight into the labour of love from the different community helpers. After teaching them about farmers, the teachers moved on to dressing up as bakers and had an interactive session with the children about the importance of wearing the chef hat and apron. Since ‘Learning by doing’ is a motto followed in all our teaching methodology in Suchitra we made the children make the cake by themselves right from scratch. They measured the ingredients, mixed the ingredients and experimented with the ingredients but were careful not to get their places messy as they were responsible for cleaning too!!The joy the kids exhibited after making the cake can only be articulated with superlatives used by them such as, ‘TASTIEST, YUMMIEST CAKE EVER’. They also learnt about fishermen and their contributions to society. They learnt about the various places we can get fish from and the different tools used. Children had fun dressing up as fishermen/ fisherwomen and narrating stories.
