LITERATURE TO LIFE SKILLS!
On 24th June Mr. Mukul a pilot with the Indigo and an Ex Indian Air Force fighter pilot addressed the students of Grade X and threw light on the various weather conditions that the pilots face during flying. The students connected the several anecdotes that he narrated to the prose piece “Black Aeroplane” by Fredrick Forysyth prescribed in their syllabus. The session also aroused students‟ interest in a career in flying. The element of mystery in the lesson helped students to realise that hope and strength are the only factors that overcome fear. The two 21st century skills of Problem-solving and Leadership were their takeaways out of the session.

Social-Emotional Learning A process through which children understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions which is incredibly important now, more than ever.
