A session on Desert Habitat for Pre Primary kids.
‘Habitat’ has always been one of the most challenging topics with tiny tots. But it turned out to be an exciting experience as children made beautiful models of desert habitat explaining the importance of interdependence. They focussed on desert habitat and its extreme conditions.
They had their analogy of how the camel is used as “ship of the desert” making it the most important animal of the desert. They understood the importance of camel hump as well. Furthermore, they were able to speak about the importance of the burrows that tortoises live in as tortoises can protect themselves from the heat by living inside these burrows. This proved to be a great learning experience for the students.
