At Suchitra Academy, several activities are taken up to reinforce values through assembly presentations, class cleaning, and celebration of Founder’s day, Sport’s Day, spending a day in a Government school or participating in a night camp, etc.
The school believes in fostering responsible behaviour in students from an early age. Children are made to understand civility, including respect for others. They are taught to take responsibility and to accept responsibility for one’s own self and the consequences of one’s own actions.
Children visit orphanages, old age homes, blind schools, and government schools to understand how privileged their existence is and to learn empathy and sensitivity! They learn that compassion for others and generosity is a virtue that will stand them in good stead.
The Proposed Community service projects for this year are:
We plan to adopt a government school where our students will collaborate with students of Grade X and teach them Spoken English and Leadership Skills. Students of Grade IX and XI will be part of the project. A special plan is being drawn to take this project forward.
We also have a tie up with the Government Primary school, Venallagadda. Our students visit the school and provide items as per their need. The students from the Govt. school are part of all our Health checkups – Eye, dental and overall physical check-ups. They are invited for our school programmes and also spend time and interact with the students.
